Strategy guide

KVK Preparation

Spend on the correct day, protect transfer score and save the panic for the final hour.

01

The Two Goals

First, reach the 200,000-point personal chest each day if your account can do it efficiently. Second, help 855 win prep without creating unnecessary permanent power before transfer.

Spend for a reason. Panic-spending is not a kingdom strategy, even when the button is very shiny.

02

What to Save

Save every useful upgrade until its best scoring day. Unused materials do not increase transfer score, so patience is free power.

  • Highest priority: Advanced Taming Marks, roulette spins, Mythic Hero Shards and Truegold.
  • Also keep charms, pet materials, Master Emblems, Master's Manuscripts and Master Skill Speedups.
  • Late-game players should save Mithril; everyone should keep widgets and Hero Gear Forgehammers.
  • Do routine upgrades only when waiting would block important account progress.
  • Check kingdom instructions before spending anything expensive.
03

Before Day 1 Opens

Prepare the account before the scoring begins. Spending first and activating buffs afterward is the classic NOOB tax.

  • Save Pan's skills and activate them before reset.
  • At 08:00 UTC, complete your Daily/Watchtower Intel Missions but do not collect them.
  • Skip the 16:00 UTC Daily/Watchtower Intel Missions.
  • After reset, collect the saved missions first. This gives you more Day 1 scoring missions.
  • Empty the hospital, confirm the UTC push window and check kingdom announcements.
04

Day 1 — Truegold & Charms

Watchtower Intel Missions are excellent value, while Truegold, research and Governor Charm progression also score. Use permanent upgrades only as required by the kingdom target.

  • Watchtower Intel Mission: about 6,000 points.
  • Truegold: about 2,000 points; Tempered Truegold: about 30,000 points.
  • Construction, research, training and Master Skill speedups also contribute.
  • When you receive the Chief position, activate its skills before doing upgrades.

Permanent upgrades affect transfer score. Bigger is not always smarter.

Day 2 — Heroes

This is the clean hero-progression day. Use saved roulette spins, hero shards and selected Master Academy materials while gathering marches collect passive points.

  • Hero Roulette spin: about 8,000 points.
  • Mythic Hero Shard: about 3,040 points; Epic and Rare shards score less.
  • Master Emblems and Master's Manuscripts also score.
  • 120 roulette spins are advisable because the milestone rewards stop at 120.
  • You can spin up to 150 times per day across all three roulette days, but spins 121–150 give no extra roulette milestone rewards.
  • King's Research provides a 10% research buff on Day 2.
  • Apply for the coordinated Chief/Ministry position before research upgrades to receive its additional 10% buff.
  • Prepare Day 3 missions now: complete the 08:00 UTC Daily/Watchtower Intel Missions but do not collect them.
  • Skip the 16:00 UTC Daily/Watchtower Intel Missions, then collect the saved missions after reset for more Day 3 points.

Day 3 — Pets & Masters

For many non-whales, this is one of the best value days. Use pet refinement, pet advancement, roulette, hero shards and Master materials according to the live scoring screen.

  • Advanced Taming Mark: about 15,000 points.
  • Common Taming Marks and pet advancement also score.
  • Roulette, Mythic Hero Shards and Watchtower Intel Missions return.
  • If you followed the mission setup listed on Day 2, collect those saved missions after reset for extra Day 3 points.

Saving Advanced Taming Marks for KVK is how patience suddenly looks suspiciously like money.

07

Day 4 — Troops

This is 855's main push day. Troop power earns prep points but does not count toward transfer score, making it our best place to hit hard without inflating the transfer calculation.

  • Keep speedups ready for the coordinated push.
  • Before training troops, apply for the Noble Advisor position and wait until it is active.
  • Noble Advisor gives +50% Troop Training Speed—use the boost before spending your training speedups.
  • Activate your other training buffs, Mobilize and the KVK bonus.
  • Train the highest troop tier available; higher tiers give more points per troop.
  • Mithril, widgets and Hero Gear Forgehammers can also score, but follow kingdom instructions before using them.
  • Follow the announced timing instead of racing your own kingdom.

No Mithril? No funeral required. Troop volume and timing still make Day 4 a major scoring day.

08

Day 5 — Widgets & Hammers

Day 5 has the widest scoring pool and is the longest prep day: it finishes at 10:00 UTC on the following day. That extended window makes it the final cleanup, surprise surge and last-minute upgrade day.

  • Mithril: about 40,000 points.
  • Advanced Taming Mark: about 15,000 points.
  • Widget: about 8,000 points; Hero Gear Forgehammer: about 4,000 points.
  • Governor Gear can also be upgraded: about 36 points for each +1 increase in max score.
  • Use the extra time until 10:00 UTC for last-minute upgrades if the scoreboard needs them.
  • Use expensive items only if the scoreboard actually needs them.

If victory is secure, close the bag. We are winning KVK—not an award for fastest inventory deletion.

09

30-Day Preparation

A calm month creates a powerful prep week. Decide your account role early and stockpile with purpose.

  • 30–21 days: identify power gaps, begin long research and stop casual use of high-value KVK items.
  • 20–11 days: build troop depth, practical research, hero gear and battle readiness.
  • 10–4 days: stockpile Taming Marks, shards, Truegold, widgets, hammers, Mithril and Master materials.
  • 3–1 days: empty the hospital, prepare buffs and presets, and confirm the UTC schedule.
10

Mistakes We Do Not Need

Most prep disasters are not mysterious. They are usually one enthusiastic finger and zero reading.

  • Activating buffs after spending the items.
  • Using everything on Day 1 and arriving on Day 5 with hopes and screenshots.
  • Missing Watchtower intel on the days it scores.
  • Giving up on Day 4 because you do not have Mithril.
  • Chasing personal rank instead of following the kingdom plan.
  • Using outdated point values instead of checking the live event screen.

Point values can change by event version or server age. The in-game scoring table always wins the argument.
